The Hong Kong we want — poverty assistance, reduction and prevention

Mr. Paul Zimmerman represented Hong Kong Democratic Foundation and presented a proposal on poverty alleviation at the Roundtable meeting on Expectations towards the Commission on Poverty (CoP) organised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service on Friday, 24 August 2012.


Participants of the meeting included Mrs. Carrie Lam (Chief Secretary for Administration), Mr. Matthew Cheung (Secretary for Labour and Welfare), Mr. Ho Hei-wah (Director, Society for Community Organisation (SoCO)), Sir David Akers-Jones, Dr. C. K. Law, Ms. Christine Fang, Mrs. Fanny Law and Mr. Bernard Chan.


The proposal was well received and in line with other discussions.
